Illamasqua Nail Varnish Review

Pretty In Pink...

So two posts ago I informed you guys about the Illmasqua Alter Ego gift set I purchased for myself and totally disregarded the Nail Varnish that came with it. Purely because I wanted to try it on and review it separately for you all. So I finally did, and here is the end result...

Honestly, it was super easy to apply, and dried very quickly. It feels really smooth after it dries too, which is crucial for me. I hate when you apply nail varnish and it has that odd sticky and bumpy feel to it regardless of how long you sit really realllyyyy still for! P.S. that is the hardest part for me, the sitting still :|

The colour is also really rich and vibrant, I only needed to apply two layers (the second wasn't even needed, I'm just a super neat freak). For anyone who didn't catch it in my previous post, the colour name is "Collide" and to be honest, I think from now on I will be purchasing a lot more Illamasqua products in general.

So, there you have it, a quick review, hope you enjoy it and let me know down below, what your personal favourite nail varnish brands and shades are.

The A/W Beauty Tag...

What is your current go to foundation for A/W 13?
Without a doubt, Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Foundation in BD50! A perfect light and natural coverage, and a little goes a long way, which is what I love about YSL foundations.

What is your favorite Lip Balm for winter?
Nivea Soft Rose is a must when it comes to winter lips. To avoid chapped lips I apply a coat of Nivea's Soft Rose balm directly on to my lips before applying lipstick. Plus it looks super cute on it's own too.

If you had to choose to wear one lipstick shade all winter what would it be?
Hmmm one shade, this is tough. I would have to choose Rimmel's Lasting Finish Colour Rush in "The Redder The Better". When in doubt, wear red ;)

What beauty product would you most like to try next?
I would definitely like to try EOS Fruit Lip Balm, I have heard great reviews!

What are your favorite products in your current skincare routine?
At the moment my favourite skincare products have to be Clinique's 3 Step Skincare Routine. The best part being the dramatically different moisturising lotion. Definitely leaves your skin feeling dramatically soft!

What is your favorite winter scent?
The winner at the moment is Prada Candy! A sweet and soft scent. Not too overwhelming and very feminine.

I tag everyone reading :)

Take care till next time,

Sweet And Smokey

Makeup Of The Day...

So, who doesn't love a good smokey eye?

Today's look is a slight throwback. A look I did a while back.
A dark navy smokey lid and a pale gold crease.
A very subtle, dressing-up or dressed-down kind of look...

The look was inspired by an outfit sent to a friend (,the lovely model,) by an abaya company called "Malika Boutique"
(For anyone who doesn't know, an abaya is a full length dress, worn as an outer garment.)

The final look...

For anyone interested in purchasing this trendy, comfortable and affordable abaya, head on over to Malika Boutique's instagram page....
